Research and innovation are integral parts of the University of Evry.

The SLAM Laboratory wishes as part of its different research and events, to promote research concerning cinema and proposes an event that links environmental questions, such as the climate, with cinematographic ones. The aim is to gather together members of the university community (students, teachers and leaders) and to invite them to exchange and think together on these essential and current subjects.

4 actions are proposed by the Laboratory:

  1. “With climate refugees” exposition, in the hall of the 1st cycle building from March 30th to April 15th, 2016; from 9a.m to 6p.m (free entrance):

On April 5th, the preview will be at 11:30a.m.

As part of its environmental policies, the Conseil Départemental de l’Essonne provides a set of expositions about several topics linked to Environment and climatic questions to schools.


  1. On Wednesday, April 6th, 2016 at 7p.m (at Le Silo auditorium, 32 route de Lieusant, Tigery)

Showing and debate at Tigery’s Silo auditorium with UEVE students and members of the South Essonne agglomeration community, partner of the University of Evry for the European week fo sustainable development.

  1. On Tuesday, April 7th, 2016 at 11a.m (“Salle des Thèses”, at the College Library)

Projection of 2 short films programed for the Festival International du Film d’Environnement (organized by the Région Ile-de-France). Players from the worlds of cinema, the environment and science will participate in a round table discussion. Participants include: Jeanine TORTAJADA (University of Evry’s vice-president, European expert, ex-head of the LAMBE Laboratory), Brigitte GAUTHIER (teacher and cinema specialist, head of the SLAM Laboratory, writer), Abdoul Ba (associate professor, geographer at Evry University), Nathalie BOUCLIER (coach in companies, ex-director of human activities of Business Unit d’AREVA) and Eric COQUELIN (journalist, Sustainable development assignment manager at Sénart Grand Paris Sud).


  1. On Friday, April 8th, 2016 at 6p.m (Les Cinoches cinema, Ris Orangis).

Projection of a movie as part of the Festival International du Film Environnement, followed by a debate with the director. Free and open to everyone.
