Colloquium "Arts, Languages and Inter-culturalism: Alternatives to the Paradox of Globalisation"

Colloquium “Arts, Languages and Inter-culturalism: Alternatives to the Paradox of Globalisation”

University of Evry

March 27th and 28th, 2012, 10:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m.

The objective of this colloquium is to show the significance and the consequences of cultural and inter-cultural practices as part of globalisation. These practices can be part of globalisation under its neo-liberal form. But they can also contribute to questioning, redirecting and reforming globalisation, by respecting the principles of a shared human project. The building of cultural and inter-cultural alternatives different from neo-liberal forms allows to find positive solutions to the paradox of globalisation.
